Benson PR Founder, Laura Benson, has worked in publicity and events for 16 years. Her main experience as a publicist has been working within the Australian Book Publishing industry, on large-scale campaigns, events and tours. Laura has also worked in London managing events and publicity for luxury hotels.
Benson PR was created because of a true love of working with creative and passionate people – building a connection, brainstorming together and sharing in the excitement of seeing your story and business captivate audiences across the country.

As a founder or author, we understand that both your money and time are extremely important. We don’t want to waste either.
We’re selective with the clients we take on as we want to make sure we deliver on your goals and expectations. We also want you to be at the right place in your journey - so we are happy to advise as to when you may need to consider PR.
Below are two of the packages we provide for Business founders - but we offer much more than that (book campaigns, press releases, touring etc.)! Do just get in touch.
OPTION 1:
founders publicity package 2024
Starting from $1850.00 per month.
Due to the lead times on media pitch and procurement, a three-month minimum contract is required.
This package is for both first time Founders (those that have not done any media or publicity before) and for those Founders that have ad hoc media experience.
We don’t just promote your product or service, but work to promote and connect you (the founder) with individual clients/buyers/audiences. We take a personal approach. We work with you to get your story just right — helping you feel confident in telling it on a myriad of platforms. We contact media that suits — also push your story out to new audiences. You’ll have a clear picture of our success and the way we talk about you.
This service not only aims to increase your profile - each founder will go away with an understanding of publicity, with a clear grasp on their own story and how to tell it, take away new ideas and be extra inspired for the future of their businesses.
INCLUDES:
Initial consultation.
Direct access to a senior publicist.
Single or multiple press release — depending on the needs of your campaign.
Analysis of your story and strategies in place to make it clearer/cohesive — we will give you all the support needed to understand what parts of your journey is of interest to events/media/public.
A clear media strategy.
Media feedback and training — where needed.
Along with focused pitching, we will pitch for ad-hoc opportunities that come direct to us (Australia wide).
Reporting and scheduling — where needed.
OPTION 2:
storyteller consult package 2024
One off payment of $650.00.
Feeling lost in your founder story? Need help focusing on the key parts and knowing what people/media will be most interested in?
This package is for business founders that need someone to consult with, to create a founder story that is relevant, interesting, and cohesive. We will provide you with the clarity to move forward, allowing you to promote your journey and business with confidence and assurance. We will also highlight the parts of your story that would be of most interest to media – giving you ideas on what to delve into further for media opportunities and talks.
You will be asked to complete a form in as much detail about your journey and any interesting facts you have about the origins/ financials/ hardships/ wins etc.
(Don’t worry, we accept dot points!)
INCLUDES:
With that info we receive, we will work on an overall founder story for you — in writing.
Provide a short summary —allowing you to pitch your founder story further, in a paragraph or so — something that really highlights you!
A list of the parts to your story that would be worth focusing on further or that could be of key interest to media.
There are services which you can add for an additional fee – such as media training, ideas for media outlets we recommend contacting that suit elements of your story, speech writing etc.

OPTION 3:
bespoke publicity/ events.
This will be charged as an hourly rate, or a monthly/annual package, dependant on requirements.
Have a particular announcement to share with the media? Need assistance with a launch event? Releasing a book into the the Australian market and need a campaign? Bespoke publicity allows us to give you a service very specific to your personal and company requirements. The expectations and needs are discussed with the individual, in order to establish appropriate timeframes and rates.
